Delete my account

Last updated: 12 July 2026

You can delete your Helping Hands account yourself, at any time, from either the Android app or the website. Deletion is immediate and does not require contacting support.

How to delete your account

In the Android app: open Settings, then tap Delete account and confirm.

On the web: log in, go to your account page, and press “Delete my account”.

What deletion does

  • Your account is deactivated immediately, and your name and phone number are scrubbed from the account record. You can no longer log in, and your unlocks and wallet balance are gone for good.
  • Unlock, purchase, and wallet-ledger records are retained in anonymized form — no longer linked to your name or phone number — because legal and accounting obligations require it (up to 8 years under Indian tax law).
  • If you are a provider, your profile disappears from the directory immediately and your KYC documents are deleted within 30 days.

Before you delete

  • Deletion cannot be undone. Unused wallet credits are forfeited and are not refundable or transferable.
  • Numbers you previously unlocked will no longer be accessible — “free forever” applies to the account, and the account will no longer exist.
  • Creating a new account later starts from zero (a new account gets the standard 3 free signup credits once; abuse of this is covered by the Terms of Use).

Can’t log in?

If you cannot log in, email the grievance officer from your registered number’s SMS or with proof of ownership. Contact details are on the Grievance Redressal page. Once we can confirm the account is yours, we will delete it for you.
